1. The Family of Man Exhibit
The Family of Man photography exhibit is a one-of-a-kind UNESCO heritage site. The exhibit was opened at the MOMA in NYC in 1955 and found its permanent home in Luxembourg a decade later. /Curated by Edward Steichen, who was born in Luxembourg, there are 503 photographs from 273 photographers representing 68 countries. /The exhibit covers all aspects of life, from birth to death. It included experiences from all walks of life. 2. Clervaux Castle
The castle dates back to the 12th century but was completely destroyed during The Battle of Clervaux and rebuilt by the Luxembourgish government starting in 1944. /The castle hosts multiple museums, the Museum of Models of Castles and Fortified Castles of Luxembourg, The Museum of the Battle of Ardennes, and The Family of Man.
3. Church of Clervaux
The Church of Clervaux was part of the Count of Clervaux complex dating back to the High Middle Ages. The current church was built from 1910-1912 in the Neo-Romanesque style. /The church is free to enter and is one of the stops on the free self-guided tour of the town.
4. G.I. Memorial
The G.I. Memorial is in the southwest corner of the square and next to the historic Hotel Koener. The monument was erected in commemoration of the support the American troops gave to the Luxembourgish people during the Battle of Clervaux.
